US Passport Information

You’ll need a passport to both leave the US and then to return. Please check your passport expiration date. The US immigration won’t let you return with less than than six-months on your passport. The following link sends you directly to passport services.

online visa application - uganda

It is still possible to obtain a VISA to visit Uganda at the immigration desk in Entebbe, but from our experience with Delta Airlines they will not allow you to board the flight onward without having a VISA in hand. Our advice is to always obtain a VISA before traveling from the US. Uganda has a very simple online application system. The cost for the application is $50 US dollars, and it can be paid via Credit or Debit Card. Please let your card company know that the VISA application fee is not a fraudulent charge, because it is a difficult process if the card company denies the charge after you have placed the submit order. It cannot be redone. If this happens, please don’t panic, call either Jimmy or Steve; it isn’t the first time this has happened.

Online visa application - kenya

As well it is possible to obtain a VISA at the desk in Nairobi, but again airlines are often refusing to allow you to board your flight without having an approved VISA in hand. The Kenyan e-visa application is quite a bit more complicated than Uganda’s. My recommendation is to go slow. Answer the questions that are there the best you can. You will want to apply for a business travel VISA, and you will need an invitation letter that you will upload to the online system. Ask Jimmy or Steve to provide you with that letter.
