PRAYER WARRIORS
The term prayer warrior is not found in scripture, but it is a generally accepted term that means the warrior is someone who continually and effectively prayers in a scriptural manner. To be a warrior in prayer is to knowingly engage in a spiritual battle and fight the good fight of faith wearing the full armor of God and “pray[ing] in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” (Ephesians 6:10-18).
All believers are called to prayer, but there are some who feel they have a special and unique ability to pray and feel called to pray more “often” and more “diligently” than other Christians. We wish all would pray for the Africa, the staff and volunteers and the mission of Jesus that the IMFC undertakes, but it is especially to to those who consider themselves prayer warriors that we are seeking for this ministry.
What does a prayer warrior for the imfc do?
Understand that there is a war, and you have a part in it. Whether or not you like it, realize that we are all caught up in a real battle for the souls of men. It is a fight between good and evil. Engage in spiritual warfare with the absolute belief that God’s power is greater than any evil working against you or for those who are in your prayers.
Recognize the true enemy - Satan.
Be certain of where your authority comes. Jesus has given you ALL authority to pray in His name. Know that He will answer your prayers according to His will and at the right time.
Wear your protective armor every day. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
Use your weapons wisely. Read your Bible daily and incorporate its truth into your life.
Identify the enemy and engage him successfully. Be as specific as possible in your prayers about where the enemy has taken the battle.
See what’s happening from God’s perspective. Read all that you can about what needs prayer, and engage God to show you how to best to pray specifically about those needs.
Fight evil with the most effective weapon there is - PRAYER.
