What we believe. . .
That God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He eternally exists in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three personalities are coequal and are all one perfect God. God is all powerful, all knowing, and omnipresent.
That Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God and is coequal with the Father. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and was offered as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people in His death on the cross. After three days, He arose from the dead, ascended back to heaven, and will return to Earth as the King of Kings. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one can be made right with God apart from Him. He is seated today at the Father’s right hand in heaven and is our Advocate and great High Priest.
That the Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. He is active in the world today and makes men aware of their sin and their need for Jesus Christ. He gives spiritual life to those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus as the Lord of their lives. He also empowers every believer for holy living, guides them into truth, and enables them to serve the Lord through His spiritual gifts.
The Bible is God’s Word. It was written by human authors under the supernatural influence of the Holy Spirit. It is truth without any mixture of error in its original writings and is the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of man and the final authority for Christian beliefs and life.
That all people are made in the image of God and are the supreme object of His love. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, everyone has sinned against God and is separated from his Creator.
That salvation is God’s free gift to man. It cannot be bought or earned; it can only be received through personal faith in Jesus Christ. The moment a person turns to God and receives Jesus Christ into his or her life through faith, he is born again and has eternal life.
That heaven and hell are real places. People who have repented and received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will live in heaven to enjoy the presence of God forever. People who have resisted the call of God’s Spirit and grace will spend eternity in hell separated from the presence of God forever.
That everyone who truly believes in Jesus Christ is a member of His body, the church.
That every follower of Jesus Christ is His ambassador and has the responsibility to share Him with others.
In the visible, personal return of Jesus Christ to Earth. We also believe in the resurrection of the physical body. Those who have died without Christ will be resurrected to face judgement. Those who have died in Christ will be resurrected, given new bodies and a home in God’s new heaven and earth.
